Gogeta is the result of the fusion of Goku and Vegeta through the fusion dance. The main difference with Vegeto is that this fusion is performed with the Potara earrings. This fusion was first shown on screen in the movie Dragon Ball Z: Fusion Reborn!, and has not been recognized as canon until its appearance in Dragon Ball Super: Broly. Also in that movie the character showed a very different appearance than in the movie or Dragon Ball Heroes.
Veku is the name given to the failed transformation between Goku and Vegeta when trying to achieve fusion. The name comes from Ve geta and Go ku. Like a regular fusion, the time duration is 30 minutes before the two fighters deactivate.
Veku makes two short appearances in Dragon Ball Super: Broly when Goku and Vegeta are unable to perform the Fusion Dance correctly. We previously also saw this failed transformation in the movie Dragon Ball Z: Fusion Reborn!
As is the case with Vegetto, under this state the warrior defines himself as Super Gogeta. The first time we see the character is in Dragon Ball Z: Fusion Reborn! because when Goku and Vegeta merge, Gogeta appears directly in the Saiyan form. It was not until Dragon Ball Super: Broly when we could see the character in the base state.
